Level Up Local ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
For each saved review, we encrypt review text, place names and addresses, map pin coordinates (latitude/longitude), points attached to that review, and which platforms you marked as posted on your device using a key derived from your account before the data is written to our database. We cannot decrypt or read those review records—they appear as ciphertext in Firebase.
Your encrypted review history (including ciphertext coordinates and drafts), profile summary fields, and account metadata are synced to a secure Firebase database. This allows you to restore your map and progress automatically if you reinstall the app or switch devices.
Level Up Local provides one-tap copying to third-party platforms (Google Maps, Yelp, TripAdvisor). Once you paste and post content to those platforms, their respective privacy policies apply.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data (including encrypted notes and reviews we store for your account) at any time. This page is the official channel for those requests under Google Play, Apple App Store, and similar policies.
In-App Deletion: The fastest way to delete your account is directly within the app. Go to Settings → Delete account. This will trigger an immediate permanent deletion of your cloud data and sign you out.
Email Request: Alternatively, you may email phamtasticreplay@gmail.com with the subject line “Level Up Local — Account and data deletion request.” Please send the message from the email address linked to your sign-in if possible, or include the email or user identifier you use with the app so we can verify ownership.
After we confirm an email request, we will delete your account and associated data stored on our backend (for example, your Firebase authentication record and synced app data tied to your user ID, such as points and encrypted review history). We aim to complete verified email requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law.
Zero-knowledge & permanence: Because we use zero-knowledge encryption for your content, once your data is deleted from our systems it is permanently unrecoverable—we have no way to reconstruct it.
On-device data: Data that exists only on your device (for example, locally imported legacy map history from a JSON file) is removed when you delete the app or clear app data; we cannot erase data that never left your device.
You may also manage or revoke app access through your Google or Apple account settings for the sign-in method you used.
